Bixpy Jet for Diving, Snorkeling, Kayaking and SUP
Bixpy Jet is the world’s first and only portable water propulsion system. San Diego based startup, Bixpy LLC has created a handheld, modular and portable water jet propulsion system. It propels SUPs, kayaks, canoes and even divers and snorkelers. As a result, the Bixpy Jet is a high-tech add-on electric jet drive. Designed to make it easier than ever for watersport enthusiasts! Finally, you can get a little bit of physical assistance with sporting endeavors out on the water.
Bixpy Jet has also developed a wide array of attachments and accessories. They will allow you to swap the motor from your kayak to your SUP and to your arm and vice versa. Using one of these attachments, the Bixpy Jets can attach to virtually anything that floats. This means you can motorize your existing vessels with ease.
The primary Bixpy Jet unit looks much like other aftermarket electric drives. It features a custom-built motor driving a propeller inside a housing. Bixpy says it’s about the size of a 1-liter water bottle. The full unit weighs around 2 lb (0.9 kg). From there, Bixpy uses different battery packs and mounting hardware. To give the drive the versatility it needs to bring power to different activities. Bixpy has packed those components into different kits. Starting with the kayak version it originally set out to create. Actually, the Outboard Jet works with various types of small vessels. Such as kayaks, canoes, dinghies, and personal pontoons. Aluminum arms adjust around the specific model, getting fit it just right.
Bixpy Jet Price
Bixpy Jet’s price range because its attachments are sold separately. The least expensive attachment, the swim jet, starts at $750. While the most expensive are the kayak and stand up paddleboard attachments at $999 a piece.
Sure, there are plenty of other water propulsion devices, but Bixpy Jet is unique because of its adaptability. Also, the same Bixpy Jet that attaches to the swimming grip, has a built-in flashlight and action camera mount. Bolt it to a paddleboard or small watercraft with a larger battery and joystick steering mechanisms.
